Meditation - An Amazing Stress-buster

Updated: Jun 27, 2020

We all know that quarantine can be stressful, especially when you have work from school, so I thought that I would make a post teaching you guys how to take away that stress with one simple thing - meditation.

Before you roll your eyes and say that, "Ughh, this is going to be soooo boring!" think about a life without stress, a life with no worries, a life with a clear mind. How does that feel? It probably feels amazing, unless you're a person who likes stress. Honestly, I don't know anyone like that! Anyway, let's move on!

1) Find a place where you can completely focus, otherwise, there will be no reason to meditate. Make a strict schedule, and don't forget to follow it properly. Later on, the time and the place will help focus into the depth of meditation even more.

2) Pick a posture which is the most comfortable. You could sit cross legged on the floor, or you could sit on a chair with a backrest. You don't need to sit in a lotus position to be "truly" meditating!

3) Focus on an object in the room. It could be a candle, yourself in the mirror, or even the floor. It could be anything of your choice, it doesn't really matter. That spot is where you will be diverting your mind into the whole time of your meditation.

4) The longer you sit, the better. Meditation usually takes 30-60 minutes, and it only works if you don't complain. It's hard, so you need to be pushing your body to its limits in order to be successful.

5) Do some deep breathing while meditating. Meditating is all about focus, so you need to be breathing in and out, but slowly.

6) Finish with some stretches. Visit this link for a list of many you could do! https://www.self.com/gallery/essential-stretches-slideshow

Thank you guys so much for reading this blog post and I hope you're all staying safe in quarantine. Please use these tips and meditate for a bit. Bye!!
